Sweet Chihuahua And Her Favorite Mailman Celebrate Their 500th Meeting Milestone!

For most dogs, their owner is their closest companion, and nothing quite matches the love shared between them. But for a three-year-old Chihuahua named Frannie, her best friend is someone rather unexpected—her mailman!

Frannie and her mailman, Dan Larsen, have developed a heartwarming friendship that has captured attention not just in their local Illinois community, but around the world. The pair’s first meeting took place in October 2021, a day that neither of them could have predicted would lead to such a close relationship. Frannie’s owner, Lisa Laskey, was outside collecting her daily mail with Frannie in tow when the memorable moment occurred. -WATCH VIDEO BELOW

“I had Frannie in my arms, and I went out to get the mail from our postman,” Laskey recalled to NewsNation. “I didn’t know him very well at the time, but I thought it’d be nice to introduce him to the newest member of our family. So, I asked him, ‘Would you like to meet our little one?’ and he kindly said, ‘Of course.’”

That small gesture led to a lasting connection between Frannie and Larsen. Now, whenever the mailman makes his rounds, Frannie eagerly waits to greet him, tail wagging with excitement.
