Puppy Left Heartbroken And Confused As Owners Abandon Him In Industrial Area

Fortunately, Rafael Ramirez came across Gizmo and was moved by the pup’s plight. He promptly reached out to Hope For Paws, a non-profit organization in Los Angeles, to seek help for the abandoned dog. Upon receiving the alert, rescuers Alex Babcock and Katie McKittrick hurried to the scene. Ramirez stayed by Gizmo’s side to ensure his well-being while the rescuers approached him with gentle care. Despite their efforts to comfort him, Gizmo remained dejected and kept his gaze lowered.

The rescuers provided Gizmo with food, which he eagerly devoured, and then carefully secured him with a leash before placing him in a crate. Both Ramirez and the rescuers felt a wave of relief knowing Gizmo would no longer endure hunger and exposure. CONTINUE BELOW

Gizmo was transported to a shelter where he received compassionate care and attention. However, it soon became apparent that something was wrong. Gizmo was exhibiting unusual behavior, including spinning in circles and chasing his tail, which prompted concerns from his caretakers. An urgent visit to the vet revealed that Gizmo had a broken tail vertebra. He underwent surgery to repair the injury, which involved removing the damaged vertebra.

Much Love Animal Rescue, another dedicated non-profit in Los Angeles, took Gizmo into their care. He was placed in a loving foster home where he continued to recover, surrounded by warmth and affection. Under this nurturing environment, Gizmo’s spirit flourished, and he became a lively, joyful dog. Eventually, Gizmo found a wonderful forever home where he is cherished and loved deeply.
