The puppy was taken to a veterinary clinic where she was diagnosed with canine distemper, a serious illness that would cause her ongoing struggle. The man provided a safe, comfortable space for the puppy and began daily trips to the clinic for injections. Gradually, the puppy’s condition improved slightly; she started eating better and seemed happier. However, she continued to experience insecurity and frequent vomiting.

During a follow-up visit to the clinic, the puppy was seen playing with others, a sign of improvement, though her illness was still severe and advancing. Determined to make her remaining time as pleasant as possible, the man introduced her to his son, who enjoyed playing with her, and enlisted his sister, a veterinarian, to assist with her care.
