Truck Drivers Shocked To Find A Dog Living In A Pile Of Tires

When truck drivers arrived at a sand pit in Crosby, Texas, to pick up material, they were saddened to find a delightful dog who had been abandoned. The dog kept staring into the distance, as if she were expecting someone. The drivers assumed she was waiting for her owners, unaware that they had let her down.

They contacted Megan, whose family owns the sand pit, and asked for help. Unfortunately, many innocent animals are abandoned there, which is how Megan became involved in rescuing them. She sent food daily, and the drivers ensured that the lovely dog, later named Dutchie, was fed. WATCH VIDEO BELOW

“We always send our dump truck drivers with bags of dog food and ask them to take pictures and videos,” Megan said.

When Megan learned that an organization called Lola’s Lucky Day had found a foster for Dutchie, she felt thrilled and relieved. She immediately left work to rescue her. At the sand pit, Megan searched for Dutchie, and her heart melted when she saw a little head peek out from a pile of tires. That night, Dutchie stayed at Megan’s home, glad to feel the warmth of a real environment. The next day, Megan drove Dutchie to her foster parents, Kaitlin and Lauren. In the beginning, Dutchie was a bit distrustful and unsure, though she craved love and affection. At the vet, she was diagnosed with heartworm, an injured ankle, and hip issues, but after receiving treatment, she started to improve.

As time went on, the sweet dog learned to relax and let her guard down. She began enjoying snuggles with her foster parents, overcoming her fears and becoming a confident, happy pup. Excited to start a new chapter in her life, Dutchie was ready to leave her past behind. WATCH VIDEO BELOW
