We all have that one word or phrase that makes us perk up when we hear it. It could be a name, a favorite place, or something tied to an inside joke. Whatever it is, it definitely grabs our attention!
Now, imagine how excited dogs get when they hear their favorite words!
Recently, a trend emerged on social media where humans pretended to be on the phone, casually mentioning their pups’ favorite words.
One dog owner decided to try this with her dog, Marvel. Sitting on the bed with him, she pretended the remote control was a phone and started chatting with a friend. WATCH VIDEO BELOW
Marvel loves treats, so she began with that word, emphasizing his favorite: peanut butter. She then added some other beloved terms from the dog world: “Yeah, we’re going for a ride later. I think we’re going to daycare camp.”
The moment Marvel heard “ride” and “daycare camp,” he started rolling his head around, clearly excited. But he really perked up when she mentioned a specific name: “Well, I hope Sarah will be there.” WATCH VIDEO BELOW
At the mention of “Sarah,” Marvel practically jumped off the bed with joy! His owner continued with other names like Farrell, Grandma, and Bella, all of which made him even more animated.
Then came the funniest moment—when she said “tacos.” “Maybe we’ll go get some tacos,” she suggested. As soon as Marvel heard that word, he jumped up and ran away!
This made his owner laugh out loud, puzzled as to why tacos excited him so much—especially since Marvel had never had tacos in his life! WATCH VIDEO BELOW
