Sweet Dog Thought She Was Just Going For A Walk But Owner Left Her At A High-Euthanasia Shelter

Love, comfort, and safety are essential for any dog living with someone they care about. However, life can be cruel, and pups who once enjoyed their days with a beloved owner can suddenly find themselves in dire situations, losing everything. It’s unfair, and no dog deserves such a fate, but ultimately, every dog deserves a person who loves them unconditionally.

Adding to the sadness was the shelter’s high euthanasia rate, raising concerns that this sweet girl might not have enough time to find a new home. This situation caught the attention of staff member Kayla Winrow, who felt deeply for the dog. Winrow shared with Newsweek,

“She wasn’t surrendered by her actual owner. Her owner abandoned her months ago at someone else’s home, and when they could no longer care for her, they had to turn her into animal welfare services.” WATCH VIDEO BELOW

Kayla recorded a video of the dog lying on the shelter floor, looking innocent and confused about what was happening. After posting the video on TikTok, viewers were shocked by her plight, and many offered to help. One commenter wrote, “The way she’s just laying there being a good girl breaks my heart. How can people be so cruel?” Another added, “I wish people knew that getting an animal is like having a child; you don’t abandon them when you’re tired of it. Take responsibility!”

This is an important message that deserves to be emphasized. While being a dog owner can be challenging, no one should ever consider abandoning their pup. Fortunately, despite the dire circumstances, a local saw the video and decided to give her a new home.
