It’s heart-wrenching to think about all the canines who never had the chance to feel true love. One such pup, later named Runji, was among them.
Runji was a guard dog at a factory. Although he was chained up, he greeted workers each morning with a wagging tail and a wide smile. Sadly, one day he suffered an accident, falling from a height and getting injured. Unable to move, the heartless security staff discarded him on the streets. Left to fend for himself, Runji lay there for days, enduring hunger and thirst. He looked at passersby with pleading eyes, hoping for help, but as time passed, hope began to fade. CONTINUE BELOW
Fortunately, three days later, a man living near the factory noticed him and immediately contacted rescuers for urgent assistance. Upon receiving the call, they rushed to Runji’s side, feeling heartbroken at the sight of his suffering. They comforted him, reassuring him that help had arrived. Runji surrendered to their kindness as they placed him in the car. Throughout the ride to the clinic, he remained silent, reflecting on his hardships.
At the clinic, the vet conducted necessary tests and gave Runji a complete checkup. He was diagnosed with measles and pneumonia. Due to the accident, he also had a torn cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) in his hind leg and required minor surgery. Since Runji was underweight, the vet put him on a special feeding schedule. He was hospitalized, and the veterinary team began treating him, lavishing him with attention. His rescuers visited often, providing love and support. Over time, Runji’s broken heart began to heal, and he started to understand that he was loved.
Determined to forget his past, Runji focused on his recovery. Little by little, he thrived and blossomed into a handsome pup. After undergoing surgery for his ligament, his leg healed well. After months of treatment, Runji fully recovered and was discharged from the hospital. He said goodbye to his caregivers and went home with his rescuer, his eyes sparkling with hope and joy.
