Sick And Neglected Poodle Transforms Into A Beautiful Dog After Being Saved By Rescuers

I wish every dog could wake up each morning snuggled next to their humans, eyes sparkling with joy. Unfortunately, many dogs find themselves heartbroken after being abandoned by their families. Babs was one such canine who felt lost and despondent as she wandered the streets of Dayton, Texas. Having been left to fend for herself, she grew wary of humans and developed mange due to neglect.

One day, a kind person spotted her near a snow cone stand and reached out to Kristen Erwin, a dedicated dog rescuer. Kristen immediately rushed to help. CONTINUE BELOW

When she arrived, she found Babs lying on someone’s porch, malnourished and suffering from painful skin conditions. With only a few patches of fur, she looked utterly forlorn. Seeing Babs’ condition filled Erwin with sorrow. She tried calling the dog, encouraging her to come closer, but Babs was too frightened.

Determined to help, Erwin devised a plan to lure Babs into a crate using delicious treats. Driven by hunger, Babs cautiously approached and stepped inside. However, when she noticed Erwin coming closer, she panicked. Erwin calmly reassured her, promising to help. CONTINUE BELOW

She took Babs to the vet for a thorough examination, where they discovered she was heartworm positive. Immediately, treatment began, with the Houston-based nonprofit ThisIsHouston generously covering her medical expenses. Erwin decided to foster the pup.

Once at her foster home, Babs began to shed her fears and distrust. She sensed she was safe and soon welcomed Erwin’s affection, reveling in the love she received. With Erwin and her family’s care, Babs thrived, gradually healing and transforming into a beautiful, fluffy Poodle. CONTINUE BELOW

Once she made a full recovery, it was time for Babs to find her forever home. Her new family had been following her story from the beginning and promptly submitted an adoption application. Babs joyfully ran into their arms, embracing her fresh start.

“She is living the good life now. She has a new fur sibling to play with and two human siblings. Her family adores her and can’t believe how sweet and gentle she is,” Erwin added. I couldn’t be happier for Babs. This sweet dog finally has everything she wished for.
