When you pack your bags for a fishing trip, you usually expect some nice, relaxing moments. Arteman Córdova certainly thought so. But sometimes, the universe has other plans for an animal lover like him. Córdova was fishing with friends on a lake recently when he stumbled upon the catch of a lifetime.
It all started with some strange whimpering sounds coming from the shore. At first, he didn’t think much of it. But then, he heard a little splash and quickly noticed something heading his way! As it got closer, Córdova stood up in his boat, trying to figure out what it was. To his relief, he realized it wasn’t anything to worry about. CONTINUE BELOW
It was a little puppy, so eager to make a new friend that she jumped into the water and swam with all her might! “We were anchored, so we couldn’t move the boat closer. I was in awe that the puppy would jump into the water and swim to the boat without knowing me,” Córdova told The Dodo.
After welcoming the pup aboard, the two immediately clicked. However, Córdova soon noticed that the puppy was not only tired from swimming but also starving. Suspecting she had been abandoned by an unkind owner, he immediately shared some of his lunch with her. CONTINUE BELOW
He took this opportunity to reassure the puppy that not all humans were cruel and that she had nothing to fear anymore. But that’s not all! Córdova, inspired by her strong spirit, decided to name her Medusa and adopt her. “In my mind, while she was swimming toward me, I knew I was going to adopt her,” he said.
Fast forward two months, and this sweet girl has become the most adored member of the Córdova family. “I’ve had Medusa for two months now. She’s adapted very well to my family. We all love her very much,” he added. CONTINUE BELOW
The two have become inseparable, spending their days on fun adventures and lounging together whenever they can.
I’m absolutely pawsitive that they will share a lifetime of joy and happiness together. “Finding her was something amazing. I feel happy with Medusa,” he concluded.
This was certainly a fishing trip story for the ages, one that Córdova will cherish and share for years to come.
