Most of us can recall a time when we pretended to be unwell to get something we wanted. If we think back to our childhoods, we can probably remember many such instances. Interestingly, this behavior isn’t exclusive to humans. While we often believe our pets are completely honest, they too can play along when it serves their interests.

It opens with a sad-looking Mika and the caption, “When Mika wasn’t feeling well and refused to play.” Concerned for her pet, the owner took Mika to the vet, believing something was wrong. However, upon arriving at the clinic, Mika’s demeanor changed completely. The caption reads, “New-found energy upon arriving at the animal hospital,” as she greets the vet with a big smile, proudly showing off her underbite.
