Seeing a family of abandoned dogs on the street is a heartbreaking sight. Left alone, these pups often face terrible conditions, cut off from basic necessities.
One such story comes from Southern California, where a trio of puppies was abandoned near Magic Johnson Park in Los Angeles. The puppies were discovered huddled together on the sidewalk, unwilling to leave the spot where they last saw their family. WATCH VIDEO BELOW
Concerned neighbors reached out to Suzette Hall of Logan’s Legacy Rescue in Irvine, California. Although she couldn’t go to the scene herself, she sent two of her colleagues who found the puppies right where they had been reported. The pups were covered in ticks, and their fur was matted, making their condition dire. They needed urgent help.
“Abandoned in a park together, covered in ticks and matted so badly they couldn’t even relieve themselves,” Suzette shared on her Facebook page. “They stayed right where they were left, sticking together.” WATCH VIDEO BELOW
Typically, rescuers use humane traps to capture dogs, but this time was different. The female pup approached the rescuers as soon as they offered her food, followed closely by her brothers. Even during the ride to a volunteer’s home, the trio remained close, refusing to leave each other’s side.
They were named Damien, Polly, and Barkley before being moved to a foster home. Hall noted the special bond these dogs shared throughout their ordeal, hoping they would be adopted together into a forever home. For now, they will remain by each other’s sides, protecting one another just as they did on the street! WATCH VIDEO BELOW
