Beth Strong was on her way to work when she noticed a stray dog by the roadside, looking at her with sorrowful eyes. Heartbroken by the sight and unwilling to pass by, Beth parked her car and tried to win the dog’s trust. Thankfully, the pup responded quickly, approaching Beth for a gentle pet. “She was the sweetest girl and crawled straight to me for a stroke,” Beth shared in a TikTok video about the rescue.
Curious about the dog’s background, Beth went to the local police station to see if she could learn more. To her shock, she discovered that the dog would be euthanized in 92 hours if no one claimed her. Beth knew instantly that she couldn’t let that happen. “I just knew I couldn’t live with myself if I didn’t give her a chance to find a loving home,” Beth explained in the video. WATCH VIDEO BELOW
Beth decided to name the dog Olive, after the olive tree near where she found her. A trip to the vet revealed even more news: Olive was pregnant and would be giving birth in just a few days. This only strengthened Beth’s resolve to help her.
Since Beth was scheduled to travel abroad, she couldn’t take Olive with her. However, she knew of a local rescue center where dedicated staff could provide Olive and her soon-to-arrive puppies with the care they needed. A few days later, Beth shared a joyful update on her TikTok account, @bethkstrong. Olive had given birth to seven healthy puppies—five girls and two boys. WATCH VIDEO BELOW
“She’s settled, happy, and being the best mummy ever! Once she’s done nursing, they’ll all be available for adoption ❤️,” Beth wrote in the caption. Now, Olive and her puppies just need forever homes to complete their journey. With so many kind-hearted people out there, there’s every hope that they will find the loving families they deserve.
