Richard Gere, the acclaimed American actor, has sold his Connecticut estate for almost 11 million dollars, according to PEOPLE. He plans to relocate to Spain.
The 75-year-old actor, considered one of the sexiest men alive, bought the New Canaan home in 2022 for $10.8 million—$50,000 more than his recent sale price. He purchased it from singer-songwriters Paul Simon and Edie Brickell, who had originally acquired it for $16.5 million, taking a significant loss. CONTINUE BELOW
Gere lived on the property with his wife, Alejandra Silva (41), for two years and once considered turning it into a farm. Built in 1938, the house features six bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a pool, multiple gardens, and a three-bedroom guest cottage across 32 acres.
Recently, Gere shared that he plans to move overseas, making this sale a step toward his new chapter in Spain. He and his wife Silva have resided in the United States since they married in 2018.
