There are few things that can truly upset me, and seeing someone mistreat or abandon newborn puppies on the street to die is one of them. I often wonder how anyone could be so cruel. It takes just a short drive or a simple phone call to a shelter where these animals can receive proper help, yet some people still choose to discard them. We need to do more to ensure that people surrender their puppies in ways that give them a chance for a better life—rather than leaving them to starve on the street.
In this story, we’ll share the experience of an Uber driver who was minding his own business when he stumbled upon a small cardboard box by the road. Curious, he approached the box and discovered two tiny puppies inside, both in critical condition. WATCH VIDEO BELOW
Without hesitation, he rushed them to the nearest veterinarian clinic for immediate care. It’s heartbreaking to think about who could abandon such innocent creatures who have done nothing to deserve this fate.
At the clinic, the vets determined that the puppies were bleeding and suffering from pneumonia. They managed to stop the bleeding, but the puppies were still in serious danger. The medical team started them on appropriate medications to give them a fighting chance. WATCH VIDEO BELOW
The puppies were tube-fed, and someone was always on hand to monitor their condition. They were named Arti and Sal—short for Artichoke and Salami. Slowly but surely, the medications began to work, and the two pups started making remarkable progress. They were placed in an incubator, which helped their recovery even further. Although Arti was improving, his condition was more complicated. The vets ran blood tests and discovered he had low protein levels. They quickly initiated further treatment to address this issue, which helped, but Arti continued to face breathing difficulties.
As the days passed, both puppies thrived, becoming almost unrecognizable in just a few weeks. They even began transitioning to solid foods, having grown significantly over the month. WATCH VIDEO BELOW
Fast forward two months, and Arti and Sal have transformed into healthy puppies. They were adopted into their forever home, finally given the chance to live the lives they deserve.
